چکیده

To evaluate the effect of third molar impaction and impaction-related parameters on development. Panoramic radiographs (N=3972) from 473 males 558 females between 3.2 23.5 years old were analysed. Three examined: hindering contact adjacent second molar, retromolar space availability (only in lower molars), angulation molar. From separate parameters, a definition for was derived. Third molars’ development staged according to modified Kohler et al. staging technique. A linear model used compare within-stage overall age, as function contact, space, impaction. Furthermore, quadratic study correlation age angulation. Significant differences found mean depending location stage. There significant relation stage, with all molars evolving more upright position (closer 0°). Mean ages subjects impacted significantly certain stages, but clinically small (absolute ?0.65 years). Moreover, after correction stage differences, no could be demonstrated. The non-impacted can considered equal our population. is distinction required dental estimation.
